Redefining What Safety Means

Empowering people with skills that fit real life.

The Safety Pact exists to shift the way people think about personal safety and self-defence. We’re not about fear or intimidation — we’re about clarity, choice, and confidence. Our programs are built on five core pillars: situational awareness, psychological safety, de-escalation, physical self-defence, and technology facilitated abuse. These are essential life skills, not reserved for a select few — but designed to be accessible for everyone.

The Safety Pact is grounded in lived experience and evidence-based practice. Whether we’re training individuals, community groups, or corporate teams, our mission remains the same: to make real-world safety skills practical, inclusive, and empowering.

We’re here to create spaces where people can learn without pressure, connect through shared experience, and walk away with tools they can use immediately — to protect their boundaries, their wellbeing, and their lives.

Founder of The Safety Pact

Self-Protection Educator

Trauma-Informed Instructor

Vicki Zingiris is the founder of The Safety Pact and a passionate advocate for redefining what real self-defence looks like. With over 20 years of leadership experience in the high-stakes worlds of IT, Data, and AI — where she led global teams and built cutting-edge solutions for some of the world’s biggest companies — Vicki understands pressure, risk, and the power of clear, confident decision-making.

Alongside her corporate career, she pursued a lifelong passion for martial arts, earning a 2nd Dan black belt in Karate and training in Japanese, Filipino, and Chinese styles. But it was teaching that sparked something deeper — the realisation that self-protection goes far beyond physical techniques.

Vicki believes self-defence is not about being aggressive or fearless — it’s about understanding how to protect your mind, body, and boundaries with calm clarity. Her trauma-informed, reality-based approach empowers women and community members of all backgrounds to develop skills that actually work under pressure.

A certified instructor with SAFE International having completed her qualification in Recognising and Responding to Sexual Violence, Vicki now brings her mission beyond the dojo creating practical, inclusive programs that help people feel safer and stronger in everyday life.
